What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, and to provide information to site operators.
Misar Social uses a minimal set of cookies — only those strictly necessary for the service to function and for payment processing.
Essential Cookies (Always Active)
These cookies are required for Misar Social to function. They cannot be disabled.
- Session cookie (sb-* or supabase-auth-token): keeps you authenticated during your visit. Expires when you close your browser or after 7 days of inactivity.
- CSRF token (misar-csrf): protects against cross-site request forgery attacks on form submissions and API calls. Session-scoped.
- SSO check cookie (misar_sso_checked): prevents redundant calls to the identity hub on every page load. Expires after 1 hour.
- Theme cookie (misar_theme): stores your dark/light mode preference so it is consistent across sessions and devices. Persistent, 1 year.
Functional Cookies
Theme preference is additionally stored in localStorage (not a cookie) to enable instant application before the page renders, preventing a flash of the wrong theme. This data never leaves your device.
Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any third-party analytics that track you across other websites. Any product analytics we collect are first-party, aggregated, and anonymised — they cannot be used to identify you individually.
Third-Party Cookies
- Stripe (checkout.stripe.com): when you visit the billing or upgrade pages, Stripe may set cookies to protect against fraud and remember your payment context. These are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy at stripe.com/cookie-settings.
